Working With Schools

Painting Butterfly curtains

I  work with a variety of Primary and Secondary Schools in Leicestershire creating imaginative projects tailored to the Schools creative needs. Children benefit greatly from being involved in creating lasting artwork for their school.

Secondary school pupils benefit from working with a practicing artist with creative expertise in specific areas of art and textile design.

I use my passion for creativity to inspire and fuel the imagination of young minds and together we achieve delightful, joyful and creatively rich pieces of art and textiles. The pieces are not only filled with colour and texture, but they are contemporary and relevant to the children’s studies, helping to enhance their creative curriculum. I thoroughly enjoyed a placement as Artist in Residence at Beacon Academy School in Loughborough over a period of three years. This period allowed me to design and carry out a vast number of creative projects involving all children of all ages, abilities and needs throughout the school. Together we designed and printed new curtains for the school hall, we created unique murals on the staffroom walls and we delighted both pupils and staff with canvases and framed pieces of art to adorn the school walls !
