I entered two of my largest pieces of work to date in to Leicester’s Cank Street Gallery Open Exhibition this Autumn! I was delighted when they were selected to be featured by such a well established gallery! These two pieces are so dear to my heart as I was inspired to create them by my little girl who features in them both! They also express my love of screen printing as the main images were put on to screen and printed! I lovingly added hand painted colour to them in mixed media, including acrylics, water colour and hand stencilling techniques! The work also signifies the start of my returning to print on textiles as they provided the inspiration for my collection ‘Family are Key’ textile collection.
The two pieces were hung in the galleries impressive display of diverse , high quality art and I was delighted to attend the Private View hosted by the gallery on October 16th ! These pieces are for sale at £900 each and to quote the owners of Cank Street Gallery, ‘They have already been much admired!’
I am thrilled to have them included amongst such talent and I am delighted with the response to the work. I will be offering prints of these two pieces in my online shop very soon!
